What is the ratio of wealthy to poor people incarcerated in U.S. correctional institutes?

I believe that it is true. I like this question too, it is a very good question. This is my point exactly. Everyone calls me an Anarchist but I am not. I think that if you are poor and can not afford an attorney then the people running the criminal justice system know that and they do take advantage of these people. Our prisons are full of people that could not afford proper representation and Public Defenders from what I have seen don't do their jobs and are not proper representation. Also, people with mental health problems get caught up in this too. I don't know why the police don't take them to the hospital instead of arresting them and sending them to jail. Well I take that back I do know too, MONEY. It's all about money, not justice, and someone told me once that it is about who can tell the biggest lie and maintain a straight face in front of the judge for real. It is pathetic.
