Why doesn't she wear a fury coat like she's supposed to?

This girl I work with claims to be from Alaska but she doesn't look anything like an Eskimo. I think she's lying, If she was from Alaska she would wear a fury coat. She claims to have a picture of herself in an igloo but she claims the picture is in Alaska. How do I prove she's lying?
