? for those who work/volunteer in dog shelters/rescues?

I am a veterinary technician, also foster/rescue for the Pet Adoption League of Tulsa. When I lived in Salt Lake City, I volunteered at the Human Society of Utah. I always leave the shelter crying. It's so sad. We are compionate people, that LOVE animals. You just need to try and think positive thoughts, that they find a good home. I cannot say no, when someone asks me to take in their pet, for whatever reason. Even if I can't take it, I do, then try and at least have another foster family take it.It's an awesome feeling for what you are doing. Wish there were MORE people like you in this world!
