Help with a story I'm writing...?

A journey - road pic - is stale, as are funerals, weddings, cheer competitions, kidnappings,and frosh roomies in college. Try to invent something new, such as a visit to some interesting place - the Holocaust Rememberance Museum in DC the day of the shootings or a visit to the NASA Space Museum or something the sisters have in common but would look at differently - they all like animals but one is a member of PETA , another's a horse trainer and the third a butcher's apprentice and they all fall in love with the same guy. There has to be a source of conflict for your characters ---- no conflict, no story.
